About the Position
As a Soil Carbon Project Analyst, you will collaborate with the team in developing, documenting and monitoring regenerative agriculture project in Czech Republic and other countries. You will be a key member of the team responsible for certification process under carbon crediting standards (Gold Standard).
Key responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project designs and prepare detailed documentation to meet certification requirements under carbon crediting standards.
- Build, organize, and maintain clean, well-documented datasets and evidence to support the validation and verification processes in compliance with established methodologies and standards.
- Prepare high-quality, detailed monitoring reports tailored for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives and requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, natural resource management, forestry, sustainability or climate change.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in developing NBS projects under carbon certifications standards (VCS, GS,ACR) or experience in ISO 14064-2 project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of GHG emission removals
- The capacity to solve complex project-related problems independently, logical and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written skills in English
- Ability to create high quality written technical documentation for validation and verification processes
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to manage targets and priorities
Beneficial experience
- Masters degree in a relevant field
- Experience using QGIS, ArcGIS or similar platforms for spatial data manipulation and presentation
- Experience in the carbon mitigation agenda or the Voluntary Carbon Market
- High tolerance for ambiguity; ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
- International experience especially in projects based in Southern Africa or Latin America
