These meetings are a key step in the certification process, allowing all interested parties to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the project works, the role of regenerative farming in sequestering carbon, and the broader environmental and economic benefits of these initiatives.
At the meetings, participants will be introduced to the scientific principles behind carbon sequestration, the criteria for certifying carbon credits, and how farmers are rewarded for adopting sustainable practices, processes of the cooperation and environmental and social benefits. The sessions will also cover the monitoring process and tools, and cooperation with local certified laboratories working on soil sampling analyses in each region. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, raise any concerns, and provide feedback to help shape the design and implementation of the project.
These meetings are designed for a wide range of stakeholders, including farmers, agronomists, specialists from the agriculture sector, environmental and other non-profit organisations, local communities, policymakers and other government representatives, offering an opportunity to engage with the project and understand its potential contributions to climate change mitigation and adaptation in local economies.
